Hoof & Horn Steak House – Premier Steakhouse & Burger Dining in St. Joseph, MO

I normally wouldn’t order a burger at a steakhouse, you go because everyone said it’s the best steak in town. So I’m on the clock and only have time for a burger. I order the cowboy burger and sweet potato fries. That was such a good burger I’m not sure what to compare it to. It sort of had that flavor of a perfectly seared steak. Juicy and delicious and the fries were perfectly cooked also. I can’t recommend this place enough if they do a burger this good I can only imagine how good the steak is.

First time trying this location out and was certainly satisfied with all I got. The Prime Rib was very tasty, as were the sides, the appetizer was very expensive for no more than came out but I'll just skip that next time I guess. The service was accurate and everything was exactly as requested

I got filet and it was cooked perfectly. Great piece of meat. I pay almost double the price for the same cut back home. The sever treated me as if she had known me for years. This will be a regular spot when im back in St Joe.

6/10/25 Happy to report this restaurant is still serving up delicious drinks and food. It was good to dine here again. Customer service was stellar! 4/22/23 Enjoyed a most excellent dinner of prime rib. Fantastic waitress. Comfortable clean family friendly atmosphere. Great bar serving Spot on libations. A to-go bread pudding with whiskey sauce was Delicious! This is a Must visit restaurant in St. Joseph. I will return to try more of the menu options.

Absolutely amazing stuff between Crystal and Hai. They worked so well together made me feel very welcome after a long day. The food was good ordered a cowboy ribeye. I got a bad cut of meat but they made it right! Coming back for mainly the wait staff of the atmosphere. Thank you very much

Our waitress was super nice and made sure we had refills when needed and let us know when to expect our food. Had the pulled pork nachos an asked for some bbq sauce to pour over it which made it taste really good! Staff was super friendly and helped us quickly! Good price and quality of food. My boyfriend got the kc strip and unlike most other places, your steak comes out the size you order and not smaller. I ordered chicken fried chicken and it was delicious. Definitely recommend this place to anyone!

First and foremost, the food was excellent. Secondly, the service was impeccable. Loved our server. She was wonderful and very busy but never too busy to stop and ask if we needed anything. Atmosphere. Old time steakhouse loved it

I took my mom here a few weeks back when we had to be in town for an appointment. We had the prime rib meal for lunch and we couldn’t have been more surprised at yummy food and amazing service we received!! What a warm welcome on a chilly day and then comes the different cheesecakes!! Thank you all for being so kind and we will be back for sure!!
